Welcome to the Riverside General Store
A great place to gather to meet, talk, eat, listen to music or just hang out! The front porch is a great place to catch a summer breeze, and the newly-remodeled restaurant inside is a cozy refuge when the winter has set in.
The Riverside General Store and Restaurant rests at the center of the Brownwood Area on Railroad Grade Road beside the New River.
There's always something going on, both inside and outside. There are hayrides, moonlight kayak trips, music and other diversions to make your visit to Ashe County a memorable experience.

Provisions for your journey
From snacks to soda to sunscreen. Milk, eggs, butter, fresh baked goods and more. We can outfit your kayak trip or trail ride with snacks and meals. If you're in the area for camping, come on by and let us take the hassle out of meal time.
Our restaurant is open seven days a week, and our catering can handle any size party. No party too big or two small.

Home grown produce and vegetables from our own organic gardens, and other local growers. In season, of course. We have farm-fresh eggs, too! Stop by for our locally made honey, molasses, jams and jellies. Goes perfectly with our fresh-baked goods, baked daily!
